Hailing from Switzerland, DJ/producer Replika has built quite an impressive CV with tracks on the esteemed labels Conya, Headtunes, Pesto, and Kolour. Most recently you may recall his enthusiastically received remix of Atnarko and Jevne’s “Get On Down” via Onethirty Recordings. With this latest offering on Chillin Music, Replika presents “Even Further”, an accomplishment of subtle deep house for discerning dancefloors. The label describes “Even Further” as “entering the center where our consciousness dances with the sounds we love.” Heady stuff. But we hear electric snaps above a gentle drive, and melodic, ringing, bell-like keys hugged by a persistent low end. It’s smooth house at its most blissful.
