Chillin Music present their twentieth release – The Broadway Flow EP – a record delivering the deeper sounds of house from a fine selection of American artists, plus a special European talent in the mix.
Sleazy McQueen’s “Trains Over Broadway” throws up a twisted, metallic melody taking the listener to the darkened depths of dance music. Techno influences suck the listener down a bumpy rail track, with warped effects hitting side-on, but always keeping true to the four-on-the-floor house channels. More sweaty swampy Florida funk on this banging new one from the cool Chillin’ imprint. Primo cuts galore on this bumping underground groover, with Chad Neiro from Connected delivering the main mix of “Nobody’s Leaving”, an extended jazz-flavored cut-up vocal track that’s very high on the Swirl Peeps / Heather / ECB scale. On the flip Desmet & Spettro (aka the Wobbly Wankers) take this track deep into hypnotic tracky territory with some ace key stabs and piano twinkles. Label head Rob Slac works the vocal nicely with some warbly bass in his twisted stripped-down take. Fine piece of work from house music names old and new on this release!
